8b_tch vs Cult Heroes – Summer EP

It’s probably no secret here on the LSM ward that we do like a bit of the’old skool’. That’s more than likely down to our average age but hey, we all know, like many others, just how good the 90’s were. Taking us back to that decade, in particular the early part of it is, Kicking Plastic Records and this free three track EP by two of the top producers on the label, 8b_tch and Cult Heroes.

The EP sees, 8b_tch and Cult Heroes go head to head, remixing each others work and the results are truly impressive. Across the three tracks expect massive amounts of energy and expect your hands to be in the air for all of them. Crisp broken beats collide with Bassline House in, 8b_tch’s on point remix of, Cult Heroes ‘Dealt’. The next two remixes come from, Cult Heroes with reworks of Part 1 and 2 of, 8b_tch’s ‘Neon’ tracks. The first of these brings rave piano, shockwave bass and the mighty Amen Break in to play. The second remix pays homage to Jump-Up-Jungle sound in a Ragga infused Amen Break cocktail. The only thing left to do ladies and gents is, get…your…rave…on!!!

Kicking Plastic Records is a relatively new label that’s not all about large ravey Breakbeat. They love to bring you that kind of music but they also love to bring you electronic dance music from across the board. Whether it be some punchy Tech House, heavy Techno stompers, soul warming Deep and Progrssive House or mind bending Drum n Bass, they’ve pretty much got all angles covered. Top music from a label that’s very much on our radar from now on.

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
