Abyss- From the Depths EP

Do you like it dark? Abyss’s new Kniteforce EP is as black as midnight on a moonless night in the jungle!!!

With a coffee strength of ‘off the scale’, Abyss steamrolls ears, speakers and things that hear stuff with a 95 Jungle-esque MONSTER the likes of which Mickey Finn would have rinsed back in the day! I mean ‘WHAT a bassline!’, does it rumble some? Yes mate, whatever you do, DO NOT  place your woofers facing forward in a cupboard and crank this up because that cupboard will explode!  File ‘Bad Boy’ under Ragga Jungle weapon!!!

Next is this bloggers’ fave (what can I say, I love the 92 style), a track that reminds me of Abyss’s EP on Kode 5 a few years back (still one of my faves). ‘Losing My Mind’ begins with some signature darkness but the tempo drops down to a nostalgic 1992 pace before some lovely Italo piano provides a ton of happy feels. For added 92, there’s some Altern 8 bleeps, USS Enterprise bloops and a Blondie vocal!

‘Satan’ is John Carpenter inspired 1993 Horrorcore. It’s Michael Myers, Damien, Freddie Krueger and Jason crammed into some high jinks spookiness set to bangin beats!!!

‘The Wicker Man’ is 100% Nic Cage free and a beast of an amen roller with epic strings that really will send a chill down your spine! A great atmospheric way to end this fine release!

Available for purchase on Vinyl from the 28th January via Kniteforce Bandcamp page
