Azido 88 & Cadillacque – Heavy Hitters + Remixes (Cuttin’ It Fine)

Going by the heat released on Cuttin’ It Fine so far this year, it’s fair to say the Bournemouth based imprint has been absolutely smashing it! The consistently high levels of excellence are maintained with its latest release from Azido 88 (formerly DJ Chamber) and Cadillacque, who team up on their brand new single ‘Heavy Hitters’ with remixes being dropped by X-Ray Ted, Roast Beatz and DZRT FRST.

The original cut is a meaty chunk of Hip Hop that boasts tough boom-bap drums, subtle horns, a bassline you’re gonna feel and an MC in Cadillacque, who is clearly at the top of his game and demonstrates so with clever wordplay and crisp as you like delivery. The first of the remixes see X-Ray Ted head down a Disco route with his hip-shaking and party-starting take on the original while label boss Roast Beatz lays down his signature cuts and a bassline you’re neighbours are gonna feel in his hefty midtempo remix. The last of the remixes comes from DZRT FRST, who raises the roof with a peak-time House remix that’s full of attitude and menace and it’s also the first House track to be released on Cuttin’ It Fine. If there are further 4/4 bangers like this one being lined up for future releases, we can’t wait to hear them! There’s plenty of greatness to be heard here, so get stuck in.
