Azymuth – Jazz Carnival (Da Lukas Re-Disco)

After establishing his music-making and playing roots back in 1987, Italian Disco don Da Lukas has gone on to work with and remix music of artists such as Jakatta (Joey Negro), Gramophonedzie, Ashley Slater, Who Da Funk and Sophie Ellis-Bexter and had his music released on labels like Ministry Of Sound, Hed Kandi, Rebirth Records, Cut Rec and Midnight Riot Records. Even though we’ve only just discovered him, it’s always better late than never, especially when there’s so much good music of his to be listened to.

Our first introduction to the dazzling Disco sounds of Da Lukas is his most recent free track in his fairly new Re-Disco series. Taking us back to 1979, he gets to grips with Jazz Carnival by Azymuth and by dropping the bpm, he enhances the groove of his Funk-driven Disco remix so that when anyone hears it, getting their strut on is all they’ll want to do! Bag yourself this lively party tune and then go hunting for even more treasure on Da Lukas’ Soundcloud page because there are plenty to be had.
