Breakbeat Mixes

Billy Onions – Best of Breakbeat 2013

There’s a popular rumour among people ‘in the know’ that Breakbeat is dead.

I’ve tried to disprove that myth with this mix as I select my top 20 breakbeat tracks of 2013, there were a lot of tracks that could have also made it in here but I had to stop somewhere and 20 seemed like a pretty good number!

Each track is in there for it’s own individual reason, whether it be for destroying dancefloors or just for being a demonstration of amazing production. I’ve tried to cover all ends of the breakbeat spectrum starting at the progressive end and finishing with some 140 future jungle business!

I hope you enjoy this journey into the music I love, and here’s to more amazing sounds in 2014.
