Bjork – Big Time Sensuality (Andy Buchan Jackin’ Edit)

Whilst sifting through a huge amount Bandcamp emails in my inbox, this edit from Andy Buchan of Bjork’s 1993 smash hit ‘Big Time Sensuality’ immediately caught my attention. Being a fan of both artists, I already knew Andy’s take would result in some serious toe-tapping action and I’m pleased to tell you that I wasn’t wrong and his pumped up Disco tinged House edit definitely hit the spot.

Little did I know on my first listen, that this edit is in fact one of nine on a new album from Andy which has seen him put his spin on music by the likes of Patrick Cowley, The Stone Roses, The xx and TM Juke & The Jack Baker Trio to name a few. On further inspection, this isn’t the only Andy has released either, as there’s another one titled ‘Remix’ and as you might guess, it’s full of remixes, 10 to be precise. There’s remixes of Andy’s work and remixes from him of more current producers with a few of those being Kiu D, Cuz Electric, Don Dayglow and Hollaphonic.

With both of these albums released on the same day and a string of releases currently doing the rounds on labels like Particle Zoo, Rare Wiri and Hot Digits Music, we’re left wondering if Andy is man or machine. Whatever he may be, long may he continue bringing us the top music he does. Find the albums on the Bandcamp link below and all other release on the Soundcloud link.

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
