Booker T. & The M.G.’s – Melting Pot (Ché Wilson Edit)

Ché Wilson has got it goin’ on with his Disco infused edit of Booker T. & The M.G.’s 1971 Stax classic ‘Melting Pot’. The original track was the opener to Booker T & The M.G’s album of the same name back in ’71 and it was also a track legendary DJ, David Mancuso reached for regularly at his infamous NYC ‘Loft Parties’. With Ché’s respectful 2018 refresh, you can be sure that it’ll soon find it’s way into DJ’s sets so that it can have its time to shine on the floor once again. As well as making music on his own, Ché also makes up one half Fire House. With his partner in crime Josh Ray, they cook up a concoction of beats, bass and bumpin’ grooves for the peak-time, and dub influenced beats for the chill time. To check out their music ‘Click Here’.
