Boomtown Fair 2014 Mix Collection

As Boomtown Fair packs up ready to be unleashed for next year along comes a stream of quality mixes off the back of it. In this collection we have 6 outstanding mixes from Breaksjunky, Ed Solo, Krossbow, F-Block, DJR and Doctor Hooka from various arenas over the weekend. The mixes are as follows…

First up we have the unmistakeable sounds of Breaksjunky bringing you only the largest Breaks and Bass filled tracks. This mix really is one that will test your speakers capabilities. There’s no holding back when Breaksjunky gets behind the decks, this dude literally has Breakbeats running through his veins which is evident in every set he plays!

Ed Solo took to the decks at the Hidden Woods for his 50 minute set fusing jungle, reggae and bass to epic proportions! This mix is one of those where if you close your eyes you can instantly picture the crowd going nuts at the drop of every track. Awesome set!

The award for busiest fingers of Boomtown Fair surely must go to Krossbow after they put together an incredible set of 106 tracks in one and a half hours. The mix seamlessly bridges genres including Glitch Hop, Mid Tempo, Breaks, Drum n Bass and Electro House. Get into this and marvel at the depth and breadth of musical excellence!

For the second year in a row F-Block took to the almighty Boombox stage and by the sounds of his set he smashed it, putting together a sunny feeling Jungle mix. It’s impossible to stay still listening to this one and a half hour set. Proper foot tapper this one!

DJR found himself playing at the Masquerade Ball in the grandeur of the Boomtown Ballroom and his set sounds fit for the occasion. Electro Swing and Ghetto Funk make this mix overflow with bass and bounce. Frivolous fun I’m sure was had by all during this 45 minute set of quality, joyous tracks.

One thing you can always be sure of and that is that Doctor Hooka never fails to bring the funk. His set from the Last Aid stage is entirely evident of that fact. Another hour and a half of music to get your groove on to!

So there’s a snippet of some outstanding music from this years Boomtown Fair and by all accounts it was the best one yet. It certainly sounds it from some of music that was on offer!
