Boykz & Chapman-The Feel The Rush Project

Boykz & Chapman present The ‘Feel The Rush Project’ [Peace On Wax], a 2 part EP of 1992 style breakbeat hardcore with artwork from Junior Tomlin and vocals from Victoria Newton (Strike). This essential slice of wax will hit the stores 18/04/2020, lets go through the tracks….

‘Rock A Party’ opens with Boom Bap Rap vocals, heavy analogue style synth stabs and crater making beats. A quick switch comes with ‘After Dark’ manic rave riffs taking over along with diva vox. prior to a number of synth melody switches with an IMpact records vibe.

‘Feel The Rush’ opens with JB breaks, big sub bass wobs and a ‘Feeeel The Ruuusssh’ vocal refrain. In come the 92 style hoovers and DJ Seduction esque stab patterns to elevate the rush to its peak. We’re off to the horses with a second injection of hoover stab business and cool beat rotations.

‘The Feeling’ treads into the late November of 1992 with Proto Jungle drums and spooky FX. The amens drop like a boulder , pummelling the speakers in anticipation of an extra large dose of uplifting rave piano. One enigmatic midway drop away we get a second luscious rave piano encore to close things out.

‘Subsonic’is pure funky hardcore with ‘Android’ stabs, bouncing beats, scratches and snatches of happy piano with a nod to early hardcore imprints like Formation Recs.

‘Don’t Stop’ doffs a Stussy bucket Hat to Sedders with more of those wholesome Impact Recs stylised keys and a bit of Korg synth action over funky drummers and heavy hitting breaks. You won’t want it to stop!!!!

Pre-orders go live this Monday 27th April at 7PM UK time.
