Calypso Rose – Calypso Blues (Fak Scratch Remix)

South Yard is a record label based in Spain and it’s run by a collective of artists who centre their sound around a fusion of Drum n Bass and Jungle with Reggae and Dub, which in turn creates a sound for those who love to skank, dance and get lively on the dance floor. With many releases already under its belt, South Yard also has a free download series running and it’s the latest one of those that alerted us to what this label is all about.

The free track in question comes from one of the South Yard collective Fak Scratch and it’s the first track he’s dropped in a couple of years. Clearly, after such a long lay off he wanted to come back with a bang and has done just that with his Reggae flavoured D n B remix of ‘Calypso Blue’ which is a track off Calypso Rose‘s self-titled album from 2008. It’s foot-tapping business from the off on this one and as the intro leads to the first breakdown, you’ll soon find yourself on your feet as you anticipate the burst of energy that comes when it drops proper. If you’re hitting the town anytime, this’ll charge you up just right.

Download Fak Scratch’s remix here on Hypeddit.

About the Author

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
