Chemical Brothers – Chemical Beats (Stephen Knight Acid Reflux Edit)

Southampton based Stephen Knight began his partying days frequenting legendary London clubs such as Fabric, Turnmills and The Cross and although heavyweight names like Sister Bliss, Xpress 2 and Hernan Cattaneo had him falling in love with House music, it was John Digweed who had him completely hooked an entrenched in the scene. Having already taken up DJing as a hobby, he knew that it was time to take things up a gear or two so that he too could experience what it was like to cast a spell over the dance floor and have everyone dancing to his selected sounds.

Stephen’s move to Southampton heralded the start of his journey as a DJ and after spending time working his way up the ranks, chances for him soon came along for him to step up and do his thing and deliver he did. Having gone on to share the bill with names like Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Sasha, James Lavelle, and James Zabiela, it’s clear that all the hard work has paid off.

Having spent plenty of time playing other peoples tracks over the years, Stephen made the decision a year or so ago to start making his own music. With several tracks under his belt already including his debut single ‘Elephant In The Room’ which was released on High Tide Recordings, we catch up with him for the first time with his remix of one of The Chemical Brothers fiercest tracks ‘Chemical Beats’. Stephen’s four to the floor Techno remix drops in hard and packs a serious Acid hit thanks to the chemical elements lifted from the original. If you need to get the room stompin’, you now know exactly which track to turn to!
