Desert Heart Records – DH Flips Vol. 1 (V/A)

Desert Heart Records is the label that came about to soundtrack all of the amazing and dusty Desert Heart parties held in the Mojave Desert some 5 years ago that always incorporates lots and lots of House, Techno, love and positive vibes. As a thank you to all of its supporters of the label and its parties over the years, the Desert Heart’s team have put together the brilliant ‘DH Flips Vol. 1’ EP, which features 5 fresh spins on tracks by household names, by some of the crew’s favourite producers and spinners at their parties.

Kicking off this action-packed selection of 4/4 led music is an emotive yet pumpin’ mashup from Sacha Robotti containing music by James Blake, Daniel Bortz and Oscar L. Next up comes Lubelski with a twisted Nu-Disco tinged edit of ‘Closer’ by Nine Inch Nails. It is an edit of the uncensored version so best it’s kept for adult parties only. Trentmoller‘s ‘Moan’ is next in line for a makeover and this one comes in the form of a moody, melancholic and mystical edit by Daniels Jack.

Daniel Dubb & m.O.N.R.O.E team up next for what is the party piece on the EP with a bumpin’ and foot shufflin’ edit of Cypress Hill‘s ‘Insane In The Brain’. To complete this collection of epic tracks we have Morpei delivering an intense dancefloor heater with an edit of St Germain‘s ‘Rose Rouge’. All of the classy tracks can be downloaded for free and in one hit on the link below. Enjoy!

I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
