DJ Fizzy Gillespie is best known for fusing together 1930’s Swing and 1960/70’s Funk and Soul with more modern Bass influenced music such as Garage, Jungle, House, Hip Hop and Drum n Bass, both in his music production and when he gets behind the decks.
It’s in DJ mode where we find him now with this brand new mixtape ‘Swing & Funk Meets Drum & Bass’ that brings a whole new meaning to the word ‘fun’! As the title does exactly what it say on the tin, we can go on to tell you that this lively mixtape features several of his favourite tracks from a few his favourite producers, mashups, dubplates and remixes of his own, plus a few unreleased tracks that are forthcoming on his ‘Swing & Bass’ compilation album which will be out in 2019.
