DJ FLUX – The Breaking The Beat Mixtape

Our good buddy and fellow blogging brother, Johnny Pluse, has not only been hard at work with his live project, Johnny Pluse & The Stormtroopers Of Love, but he’s also been getting busy behind the camera too. The reason for this is because he’s put a film together to celebrate 10 years of releasing some of the funkiest and freshest Hip Hop on his label, Bulabeats Records. In the film Johnny takes you through the history of the label and also some very interesting adventures along the way. It’s a great watch and a great way to pay hommage to a label that has consistently delivered some of the best Hip Hop on the planet.

Of course, every top film needs a top soundtrack and it goes without saying that Johnny has that covered too with his new album ‘Breaking The Beat‘. To get a flavour of the superb sounds that are on offer, Johnny has drafted in his good friend and Czech DMC Champion, DJ Flux, to put together a mix of the soundtrack that showcases both the super cool music that’s on offer and his incredible skills. There’s plenty to get stuck into here, so grab yourself a cuppa, sit down and soak it all in.

Buy ‘Breaking The Beat’ here from Juno.

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
