Dr Packer – Archives Volume 6

It was way back in October of 2017 when Dr Packer last released a volume of his ‘Archives’ LP series and within the last few days, he’s back in business with volume 6!

The ‘Archives’ series sees Dr Packer round up a bunch of road-tested edits, reworks and remixes that remain in his private collection until he decides that it’s time to let them go for us all to own and enjoy how we see fit. A huge sense of familiarity takes place as he handpicks stone cold classics and hits them up with extra flavourings of Disco, Funk and Soul and pretty much all are worthy of their place on the dancefloor.

This time around we have 9 must have tracks and amongst all of the class on show we have a funky rework of Ronnie Hudson‘s ‘West Coast Poplock’, a groove-a-licious rework of Kurtis Blow‘s ‘The Breaks’, a seductive Disco spin on Donna Summer‘s ‘Spring Affair’ and a punchy rework on Lipps Inc‘s ‘Funky Town’. With not a bad egg in the basket, there’s a very good chance you’re about to love what you hear!

If you’re a fan of Dr Packer and you live in the UK or Europe, keep an eye out on his Facebook page as he’ll be announcing tour dates very soon as he heads over from Australia to funk up our dancefloors. Know as an excellent spinner and selector, he’s one not to be missed if you get the chance.
