Back in 1992, Simon Ward began his DJ career under the guise of Dr Rubberfunk. Just under a decade later he released his debut single and to this day continues to release some of the most spellbinding Soul, Disco, Hip Hop, Jazz and Funk music on the planet. He has had tracks of his featured on several top compilation albums and has released several albums of his own, including the one featured.
‘Remixes & Edits Volume One’ is a collection of 8 tracks that Simon originally created to fit into his DJ sets. Some of the tracks have been around for a decade and some are more recent but what binds them together is the quality and the old skool Funk flavour that’s injected into them. All of the tracks have not been widely available digitally, up until now that is, so with all the aforementioned styles catered for on this album, you’re in for a real music masterclass of how remixes and edits should be done and once you’ve experienced them, you now get the bonus of being able to own them.
