Some of you may have caught previous posts from LSM’s Fifties about one our youngest followers and friend of the blog, Logan, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. 12 year old Logan is in fact the son of my best mate of 20+ years, so I know the struggles he undertakes on a daily basis all to well and it has to be said, with all the medication and physio he has to take and do, he tackles it all head on like a little warrior.
In Fifties last post about Logan, she mentioned he had started learning to DJ under the guise of, Kid Breaks, so I asked him for mix for a Breaks mix for Life Support Machine. His dad and myself are massive Breakbeat fans so Logan has spent a lot of time listening to that particular style of music and thankfully for us both, but mainly his dads sake, he is now a lover of Breakbeat to.
The mix featured ‘The Awakening’ is one Logan has been working on for a while and although there’s plenty for him to learn as he starts his journey, he sure knows a good track when he hears one, as you’ll see from the tracklist below and hear once you get it playing. Logan may well have had access to both his dads and my own collections of Breakbeat tunes to compile this mix, but we’re only to happy to get someone so young into and listening to some proper music. So buckle up folks and get ready to party, Kid Breaks style!
