We’re always chuffed to bits whenever we come across a new mix from Fort Knox Five‘s Steve Raskin, so to find two brand new mixes that have been dropped within days of each other, well, it really is party time here on the ward!
The first of Steve’s mixes is a guest mix for Westwood Recordings who, it has to said, boasts an incredible lineup of artists in its back catalogue of guest mixes (find them all here). For this first hour of music, Steve delivers a selection of Ghetto Funk and Glitch Hop tracks that are just perfect to get your parties warmed up for the more wild times that will eventually unfold later on. It’s focused more on the Funk side of things, although it does get a little lively in places which is what is required in any top warm-up mix.
Now the limbs are all warmed up, it’s time to fully let loose with the sounds found in Fort Knox Five and Qdup‘s legendary 4-deck set from this years Shambhala Music Festival. Because this a festival set, you can expect a higher energy from the music and even though there’s plenty of Funk to be found, there are equal amounts of bass which means there lots of fun and filth on tap! As you’ll find out, the tunes selected are the ones to get you shaking what your mama gave ya!
