  • Breakbeat, Breaks, Beats & Bass, NuSkoolBreaks, Electro-Funk or Glitch-Hop. They mean different things to different folk. If you were in NY in the 70’s, you’d “bust-a-move” to the record breaks, but I suppose at LSM, we refer to Breaks in the mid noughties, post Big Beat sense. These days its called Glitch-Hop apparently (if you can imagine such a thing) but at the end of the day, it’s all breaks., be it funky, grimy, chunky… Whatever your sub-niche favourite, if it samples real drummers, or it’s beats are vaguely broken and it plays at between 128 and 135 bpm, you’ll find it here.
