Funk N’ Beats Vol. 6: Smoove (Bombstrikes)

Following on from The Allergies chart-topping ‘Funk N’ Beats Vol. 5′ compilation album earlier this year, Bombstrikes have this time invited UK DJ, producer and label owner Smoove to take over the reins as guest curator and we’re in no doubts after listening to volume 6, that this one will fly to the top of the charts in no time also!

Smoove is an artist who operates at the very highest level when it comes to his music workings and that is echoed in his selection of the 20 tracks he has meticulously hand-picked for the Funk spectacular that lies before us. The perfect blend of new music and unearthed classics takes place once again and as you might expect, there’s a healthy dose of exceptional music from Smoove himself and as the formidable duo Smoove & Turrell. The rest of the album is comprised of further epic offerings of Funk from artists such as Crazy P, DJ Format & Abdominal, Boca 45, Kraak & Smaak and Groove Armada.

As Bombstrikes so aptly said themselves, this new album is “Not only for the collectors and connoisseurs of Funk, but also for those who just want to put on a great party record” and we could not agree more! There’s even a DJ mix provided by Smoove when you buy the album, should that be your preferred way to take in all the music that has been served up on volume 6. Whatever your choice though, Funk up Christmas and treat yourself or loved ones to this finely wrapped package of excellent music that just keeps on giving!
