Future Funk Squad – Rarities > Remastered

If you were a full-time member of the Breakbeat scene back in the ’00s, there’s a very good chance that you danced to and loved the music by Glen Nicholls aka Future Funk Squad. During that particular decade, it’s fair to say Glen was having the time of his life, gigging all around the globe to packed out dancefloors alongside friends of his who us fans only know as legends and making music that blew the minds of all who came in contact with it.

Whilst Glen was touring Australia one year, he met a producer and DJ by the name of Phil K and as they instantly connected, a friendship was made that still remains as strong as ever today. That bond is so strong that after Glen received the sad news that his good friend had cancer and was lacking funds to cover his medication costs, he knew he had to do something to help and there was only one thing on his mind that would do it, music!

With the music idea all rubber stamped in his mind, he took the decision to remaster 16 tracks from his ultra-rare ‘Rarities’ album and place the price of £10 upon it which, when you boil it down, is a cracking deal. Firstly you’re helping out with a worthwhile cause and secondly, you get to own some of the best Breakbeat money can buy. Good deed + good music = one happy soul!

About the Author

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
