Hernan Cattaneo & Balance presents Sunsetstrip

Balance Music enlist the services of renowned and respected curator and DJ, Hernan Cattaneo for a 33 track multi genre album ‘Sunsetstrip’ plus two full length mixes

Among the 33 tracks, Kymatik ‘Green Fields and Lemon Skies’ is a hazy slice of electronica that lives and breathes its name. Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile ‘Flair’ is sunkissed, blissful dream/deep house that wraps around the listener with a warm, welcoming embrace. ‘Glide’ by the same duo delves a little deeper with mechanical whirls and light percussion that unfolds into a burst of midday sun, melodic brilliance.

Subandrio ‘Mein Sohn’ is a darker, big room proggy affair with shades of techno. Collé ‘A Forest’ is an ethnic themed groove with powerful strings and a constant chuggy beat and a sublime drop. Mike Griego feat. Paula Os ‘Headspace’ is a stadium rocker full of expansive atmosphere and rich melody.

Khen ‘April Storm’ sets the album  firmly into the Prog House territory of a Diggers/Sasha/Oakey set with bubbling trance like synths and a classic Prog House style breakdown. The main arena Prog vibes continue with the punchy, aquatic ‘Ratas’ by Nick Varon. The huge middle eastern drop of Black 8 ‘Dagger of Time’ is an absolute mind bender and Mercurio feat. Anita Alvarez de Toledo ‘White Rabbit’ has the chilled, off kilter feel of Pink Floyd set to a dance beat.

The CD 1 mix is a chilled, poolside affair which could easily double up as a great ‘back to mine’ post party soundtrack. CD 2 is pure terrace material, packed with Deep/Prog House gems to get you off your seat and into the heat of the night!
