Rising High Records, the seminal UK imprint once run by the late Caspar Pound is back bringing a fresh wave of House & Techno sounds. For this latest release, the underground rave classic ‘Total Confusion’ gets a brand spanking new set of top quality remixes. Callum Plant captures the furious drums of the original in a techno re-imagination, dicing up the famous lead synth, whoops and rap vox for an intense whirlwind of a remix.
Electrik Cat puts his signature pyschedelic Techno twist to the original with a continuous build of pending percussion and thunderous atmosphere. The timestretched vocals add to the manic vibes of this excellent remix. Barry Obzee turns in a club orientated Techno rerub that retains the dark, chaotic vibe of the original in a highly danceable 4×4 kicks driven reformation.
Rotterdam resident, ROD Malmok of Loco Dice fame produced a bootleg version of ‘Total Confusion’ that has been absolutely caned by Carl Cox. The mix is here in digital format for the first time and it is a firecracker! A funky Techno remix that teases every last drop out of that infamous 6 bar loop, a monster of a refix! The original is also included and still sounds amazing almost 3 decades on from its original release
