House Party Vol. 3 [Toolroom Records]

Ain’t no party like a Toolroom House Party and Vol 3 is stuffed to the gills with House bangers from Tough Love, Cedric Gervais and more….Oh Yessss!!!

The party munitions are strong on the latest Toolroom VA with 80 tracks including 17 exclusives and 3 full length DJ mixes, let’s run down those exclusive tracks…..

Cedric Gervais is ‘Back Again; with a slick sounding Afro-Tech House number to kick things off. Cheyne Christian drops a busy perc loaded Latin smasher ‘Jungle’ followed by the stabby, funk trunk of Egoism & Platinum Monkey ‘Jack You’ and the power packed Big Room Tech of Funkwerkz ‘Believe.’ Its heavy drums and tribal grooves on Husko’s excellent ‘Take It Back’, Josh Wink Higher State influences on ‘It Started With B’ by Jason Cadden and low slung bass dynamics on Kid Cut ‘Let Me Sleep.’

Further on, Marc Vedo channels Inner City with the epic’ Will You Be’ Ft Leela D. The House Party 3 moment of gorgeous piano House comes in the package of Mattei & Omich Ft Steff ‘Love Has Got Me Flying.’ Mike Konstanty Ft Leela D ‘Come To My Room’ sounds like classic 90s K Klass with a 2020 vibe. Next up, Mike Newman ‘That Simple’ is the anatomy of a Toolroom banger with a powerful, positive message.

Every Toolroom VA carries the stamp of musical variety and Paige, Nihil Young & M.Maggie’s ‘Down’ offers a scintillating trip into the world of Melodic House with a driving feel and incredible vocals. Oldskool meets NuSkool and they gel to perfection on Simon TG ’90s Rave’ followed nicely by Space Jump Salute’s uptempo take on the new wave of Deep House ‘I Will Be.’

You might think the next track is a Disclosure tune but it’s not, it’s a sleek, engaging slice of Pop Dance/House from Stage Rockers X Lauren Laimant called ‘2 Steps Back’ setting a smooth trajectory for the lazer tipped ‘What You Want’ by Toolroom stalwarts Tough Love. The exclusive tracks on House Party 3 conclude with a rude, dirty bang c/o Wilsun’s ‘One Six Six.’

That takes us to the three full length mixes served up by Tube & Berger, Rene Amesz and Iglesias. The Rene Amesz effortlessly slips in and out of Big Room Piano Tunes, Latin Bangers, Funky Club heaters and Dirtybird style House. Iglesias blends drum driven minimal journeyman grooves and Tube & Berger mix up an entire nights worth of Deep, Melodic and tougher edged House & Techno.

‘Toolroom House Party Vol. 3’ drops via Toolroom on 25th September 2020.
