Sundries and Lisztomania head honcho Igor Gonya brings us his first official free release in the form of this stunning 4 track Kitchen Ninja EP.
If you like your Disco House with a funky, fresh and soulful feel, you’re in for a real treat with the music found on Igor’s EP. The title track that was premiered by Music Department kicks things off and instantly lifts the mood with a funky 4/4 workout that brings sparkling horns, catchy electric keys and dreamy vocals for that authentic ’70s feel. Keeping the spirits high and rising is the second track Cotton Candy Knockout, which was this time premiered by SEE-SAW. This one is all about the soulful groove that is intensified by a Curtis Mayfield sample and the heart-melting strings that all come together to take you away.
Igor’s Lisztomania imprint premiered the third track Smiling Sturgeon. We can only assume Igor has a love for or a connection to angling because of the title of the track and because of the spoken sample used that sounds like it was lifted from an obscure Trip-Hop track from the ’90s. With that sample set into a driving 4//4 beat, an intense organ riff and an intoxicating groove, it’ll turn the dancefloor to fire with dancing feet moving on the double. Moiss Music premiered the final track Swinging Hammock and this one is as Disco as they come. Sunshine-filled synths and the lushest vocal hook are paired with an infectious beat and bassline to create one of the best times you can have while listening to Disco.
