JMMSTR – B-Boy Soul Edits Volume 2

We absolutely loved JMMSTR‘s first volume of his ‘B-Boy Soul Edits’, so to see that volume 2 has very recently landed has us very excited here on the ward! It turns out good news is afoot and all the excitement is totally justified because he’s got another 4 irresistible tracks that must be a must-have for any lover of music full stop.

With plenty of broken beats and soulful goings-on on this EP, things kick off on a very bright note with a superb spin on Jeanne & The Darlings ‘Soul Girl which was their cover of Sam & Dave‘s classic. Next up The Isley Brothers get the JMMSTR treatment with a stone cold cool edit of their track ‘I Turned You On’ which is followed by another downtempo, yet altogether funky take on Average White Band‘s ‘School Boy Crush’. To close the EP, JMMSTR’s going out in a blaze of glory with a much more uptempo edit of Roy Ayers‘ ‘Brother Green (Disco King). As we pretty much said, amazing music is there to be had!
