I don’t know what I love more about “Would you Believe in Me” – the bit where Jon goes “uba-duba-duba-duba-duba”, or the bit where he goes “dee-burn-em d-d-de-de-de”. Not to mention the “durr-durr d-d-durr-durr-dum d-d-durr d-durr” bit.
At least, I think that’s how the lyrics go. According to the internet, Jon sings “Take your crabby ass home, bitch!”. I don’t think they even had crabs in 1973.
I really can’t get enough of this trumped up little boombox bruiser which is why I had to extend it by 2:28 seconds. That way I could at least finish the dishes or make a cup of tea before telling Alexa to “play that brassy-ass beast again you sexy-ass electro-fluzie please thank you”.
It’s breathtaking, really. Until I, Mr No Hands came along and ruined it.
