Kiano & Below Bangkok – Not Now EP (Kraak Records)

Kraak Records is the sister label of the always funktastic, Timewarp Music. On Kraak’s side of the fence, it’s all about breathtaking Electronica, lush downtempo beats, blissful sun kissed grooves and well, the kind of music that’s always there for you when you need to step out of reality and into your happy place for a while.

Although Kraak Records is a newly discovered label for us, it is one that has been around for several years now and one look at their Soundcloud page, will reveal that there’s 350+ items of music to be found, which means there’s a lot of catching up to do if like us you’re new to the party.

Two fairly recent tracks that caught our attention on the imprint come from Croatian brothers, Amor and Amir Jashari. Amor works under his, Kiano moniker, while Amir’s is, Below Bangkok and it’s the coming together of the two monikers that make up the name of their new production project.

Their first release as a duo is their very cool 2 track House EP ‘Not Now’. The title track of the EP is first up and lays down lush jazzy vibes over a chilled funk groove. Bit of a Mr Scruff kinda feel to it if that’s your kinda sound. The second track ‘Tricky’ has more of those jazzy elements present, but this one has more of a kick to it with a cosmic and deeper feel.

We’re sure both of these will be in your collection asap and we hope they’ll lead you on to discovering more of the amazing sounds Kraak Records has to offer.

Buy both tracks here from Bandcamp.
