Lisbona Sisters – Later Gator Edits EP (Fantastic Voyage)

Lisbona Sisters are siblings Laura and Ava, who both grew up being exposed to a vast array of music styles and influences thanks to their music-loving and music-playing parents. They themselves found their love of music later on in life to be more focused towards the electronic end of the music spectrum and jointly made the call to take up DJing and Disco, House and Techno were to be the sounds you’d be expected to hear when they stepped up to rock the party! As their love of music grew even greater, music production became more of an interest to them and that’s where we catch up with them for the very first time.

“Later Gator Edits” is Lisbona Sisters’ brand new offering of 4 party-ready House edits of some very familiar tracks that we reckon you’re going to love that are all out now courtesy of the Californian based collective Fantastic Voyage. Opening proceedings, they team up with fellow American producer Justin Jay to take on Bell Biv Devoe‘s 1990 classic “Poison” and the result is jackin’ four-to-the-floor makeover that brings plenty of the original over extra solid beats. The next three tracks are headed up by Lisbona Sisters themselves and begin with a groove-heavy edit of “Phenomenon” by LL Cool J. Don’t be surprised if you feel like you own the whole god-damn dancefloor when you encounter this one on it!

The third edit sees the sisters put their spin on Positive K‘s “I Got A Man” and you can be sure that this sweet and summery bassline beauty is primed and ready to light up sun-kissed terrace parties the world over! Uplifting vibe aplenty. With those classics dealt with in fine style, the final track to have the magic touch of the Lisbona Sisters applied to it is a much more recent track “I Got The Juice” by Janelle Monae. This tough little groover really signs the EP off on a high and leaves us in no doubt that we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for new music from them in the future!
