Meat Katie ‘Lowering The Tone’ Podcast – Episode 23 (Exclusive Classic Breakbeat & Tech-Funk Mix)

When it comes to classic Breakbeat mixes and in this case, Tech Funk ones to, seeing a mix containing that kind of music from Meat Katie is enough to have every fan of those scenes absolutely buzzin’!

The mix has been released for free after the overwhelming response to his old skool/retrospective Breakbeat set that he played in Budapest for Breakbeat Massive’s event at Frame back in March. The recording features as episode 23 of the ‘Lowering The Tone’ podcast series, but this time the slight difference is that there’s no radio speak (except for the intro) and no interview, just music and some pretty amazing music at that!

In the set you’ll find all the tracks that were played in Budapest, plus a few extras that didn’t quite make it into the set on the night. With music to be found from artists such as Elite Force, Dylan Rhymes, Evil Nine, Lee Coombs, Plump DJs and Meat Katie himself, you’re guaranteed to find yourselves hitting that repeat button time and again to experience the excellence of the music that Meat Katie has chosen in his epic 2 hour mix.

Download the mix here straight from Soundcloud.

About the Author

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
