Mr Boom/Professor Shorthair – Dap Walk b/w I’m Your Hoochie Koochie Man 7″ Vinyl

If you’re a collector of funky 45’s, Superjock Records is a label you really need to be following. It’s an imprint that is a regular supply of those nuggets of wax and it only usually does limited runs of around 500 copies, hence the urgency to give the label a follow so as you don’t miss out on future releases.

The music that can be found on Superjock Records always exudes class, just like the two tracks that are featured on their latest cool white 7″ vinyl release. Mr Boom opens things up by applying an upbeat classic Breakbeat twist to the easy-going funky groover ‘Dap Walk’ by Ernie and The Top Notes, Inc on the A-side. On the flip side, we have another broken beat gem from Professor Shorthair, who toughens up those beats and adds tight scratches to give Skip Easterling’s ‘I’m Your Hoochie Koochie Man’ a smokin’ hot Hip Hop flavour.

If you’re not a collector of 45’s, do not worry, because all the music can be owned on digital format too.

Buy both tracks here on Bandcamp.

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
