Mr Stabalina – Do You like It EP (Scour Records)

Although Mr Stabalina has recently featured on EP’s by Beat Le Juice and Second Hand Audio, it has been a good while since we’ve heard anything from him on the music front. If you follow him on social media you’ll know he has been devoting a lot of time to his newly found love of learning to be a DJ. What he has also been doing though is honing his production skills and it’s clear that time has been well spent, especially when you check out his brand new 5 track EP ‘Do You Like It’, which is out now on Scour Records.

If you’ve not pressed play already, be prepared not to be sat down for much longer once you do because this is an EP that has been created to cause havoc on the dance floor! With a hearty helping of Funk being the mainstay across the whole EP, the first three tracks ‘Put Your Hands Up’ feat. Summer Bright, ‘Do You Like It’ and ‘The Hump’ are all of the chunky midtempo Breaks variety, packing punchy beats, horns and sampled vocal cuts aplenty. The remaining two tracks ‘Funkyass Bassline’ and ‘Just Drop’ feat. Skank Spinatra, find themselves in the realms of Ghetto House and they’re a right pair of party monsters! Catchy grooves, driving basslines and the energy to power dance moves you never knew were in the locker. This is one of those purchases you’ll never be sad about, we promise!

About the Author

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
