NIN – Disappointed (Future Funk Squad RMX)

For those that didn’t know, legendary Breaks producer Future Funk Squad is very much back in the Breaks game and has been for a little while now. He has his Breakbeat Science Podcast on the go that is now 8 episodes deep and he has also started up his own label InExtinct Records, which is where all of his new music will be released. That will include brand new originals and the remixes featured in an ongoing series and it’s that remix series where we’re diverting our attention to here.

Known for some seriously epic remixes in the past, Glen (FFS) is no stranger to putting showstopping spins on some of the most recognisable music from all genres of the music spectrum. His current series has already seen him take on music by Massive Attack, Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi and his most recent one of Depeche Mode’s ’90s classic It’s No Good. The remix that has fuelled my fire the most out of the series though is his dark and menacing spin on Disappointed by Nine Inch Nails that would not sound out of place soundtracking the moment in an action thriller where sh*ts about to kick-off! As a bit of a bonus, this remix and all of the others can be downloaded for free! So, if you missed the new that Future Funk Squad is back, you’ve got some catching up to do!

Buy FFS’ remix here on Bandcamp.
