(Orbital) Phil Hartnoll – Minirig Mixtape

Minirigs, as some of you will already know, are the makers of those mini but mighty portable speakers you hear keeping festival campsites alive during the day, or in the wee hours of the morning when you know you should sleep but can’t help joining in with the party. As well as making those pocket rocket speakers, the team also have a mix series running on Soundcloud which is currently 81 mixes strong! The reading of the artists who have contributed a guestmix mix is pretty damn impressive too with legendary names from the worlds of House, Techno, Drum and Bass, Reggae and Garage all taking part with epic offerings of music from their respective scenes.

Ed Solo, Eats Everything, JFB, Utah Saints, Slipmatt, Roni Size & DJ Krust and Leftwing & Kody are just a few of the artists to have dropped a mix on Minirigs Soundcloud page and another legendary name to add to the jaw-dropping list is Phil Hartnoll. Phil, as some of will be aware, is one half of the brilliant Oribital and if you’re a lover of the kind of music they make, you’re gonna love his mix massively! All of the music is new and all of it has that slightly twisted feel that will leave you feeling very fuzzy around the edges and full of the need to hit a dancefloor as soon as possible! Get involved and make it a great one.

About the Author

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
