Qdup – Sonic Drop feat. Awoke Remixed

Back in March of this year, we brought you Qdup’s red hot, booty-shaking 808-laced hip-hop breaks monster ‘Sonic Drop’ featuring the lyrical fire of Awoke and it’s had dance floors poppin’ since the day it was released on Fort Knox Recordings. Fast forward to the here and now though ‘Sonic Drop’ has come in for some serious remix action and there’s three heavyweight ones to be found by Fort Knox Five, Bradley Drop and 2Tight & King Felix.

The opening remix from the legendary Fort Knox Five has seen them apply their signature electronic-meets-live instrumentation sound. Rob Myers brings the freshness with some funky guitar work that’s added to tight funky Breaks and bass hook that’ll keep you alert and feelin’ the heat.

Fellow Washington DC resident Bradley Drop is next up and if you was getting a stomp on to the first remix, your feet will be on fire from dancing to this 130bpm offering. Bradley has been a fixture in the Beatport Breaks charts for some time now and with his rave inspired remix, he’ll be heading back in there and rising to the top in no time at all.

Completing what is a quality selection of remixes is a collab between 2Tight and King Felix. They’ve approached things with the emphasis very much on bass with their four-to-the-floor House weapon. Turn up the bass to really experience the full force of what you are about to receive!

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
