Raffica Soundsystem – Chapter Seven Edits (theBasement)

Italian duo Raffica Soundsystem are the latest artists to have the spotlight shone on their music by the Spanish House label theBasement Discos for its fun-filled and action-packed Chapter Edits EP series. The seventh volume of Chapter Edits gives us five free tracks by Raffica Soundsystem that stick true to the label’s ethos of ‘good vibes only’ with a selection of 4/4 led tracks that are heavily influenced by Funk and Disco.

The EP bursts into life with the first track Disco Deliveroo, which is a carnival creating edit of the 1978 track Café by German outfit D.D Sound and is followed by the slick ’80s influenced groove Koxo Sound, which is a fine Nu-Disco refresh of Step By Step by Koxo. The high-energy Disco vibes return with Take It With Care and this time it’s Back On Love by Fabiolous Barker that’s getting a masterful Disco makeover. Party Down brings with it the familiar sound of The Players Association as the duo put a lively spin on Turn The Music Up and invite you to ‘party down’ with them. Ending the EP is Will Me Out and this Balearic beauty is take on Wheel Me Out by Was (Not Was) that will instantly transport you to a sun-drenched beach of your choice.

About the Author

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
