Silkeepers – Take It EP (Baikonur Recordings)

Baikonur Recordings is a Russian based Tech House label that delivers its music straight out of one of the hotbeds on planet earth for banging music, Saint Petersburg. Although it is a new label to us, it appears we’re a little late to the party because since its inception back in 2015, it has amassed some 534 items of music on its Soundcloud page! Those are made up of podcasts, tracks and EP’s with the focus more towards the latter two and those tracks have found their way into the hands and fully supported by highly respected names of the scene such as Mark Knight, Solardo, Steve Lawler, Prok & Fitch and Todd Terry to name just a few.

Whilst Baikonur Recordings supports producers from its homeland, it’s never afraid to spread its wings and fly around the world on the hunt for top quality House music. One recent trip around the globe saw it land in Barcelona where it picked up a couple of dancefloor heaters by Silkeepers. This Spanish duo clearly knows how to construct the kind of music that’ll bring feet to the floor and sea of bobbing heads emerge. The two tracks on their ‘Take It’ EP offers up an acidic bubbler in ‘Best Friend’ and a raw and twisted stomper in ‘Take It’.

Get your fix of both of these tracks and then it’s time to get digging into Baikonur’s massive back catalogue which, I can assure you, is full of gold!

Buy both tracks here from various online stores.

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
