New Brummie imprint, Fly By Night Recordings presents an on point EP of Electro and Jungle influenced Breaks from French artist, A-Sim
As a long time resident of the land of Brum, it gives this writer great pleasure to review this excellent EP by A-Sim. The title track will assuredly go down well with long time LSM readers. The razor like bass and punchy electro beats carry a bit of Botchit & Scarper/BLIM/Freq Nasty in those ripped, booming beats n’ bass. ‘Speed Call’ blends some seriously rude bass business with atmospheric strings and whip cracking amen breaks. ‘Cloud Burner’ harks back to 95/96 with a slice of melodic Jungle/DnB that absolutely soars. Pluralist reworks the DnB beats of ‘Cloud Burner’ into a towering dub/broken beat opus to top off a fantastic EP!
