Being a massive fan of Stanton Warriors myself, their guestmix for Annie Nightingale‘s ‘Quest Mix’ slot on her BBC Radio 1 show is quite literally music to my ears and I can confirm that if you’re a fan of theirs too, it’s time to get very excited!
The main reason for this is because the legendary duo have sat down and rounded up all of their 170 releases from over the last 20 years to the present day and have somehow managed to whittle them down to 60 tracks for their huge one hour mix. That means the journey through the Stanton Warriors sound takes us to classic tracks like ‘Precinct’, ‘Hope Time’, ‘Shoot Me Down’ feat. Ruby Goe, ‘Good Vibrations’, ‘Da Antidote’, ‘Still Here’ feat. Eska and ‘Virus’ plus remixes and edits of theirs of music by the likes of Fatboy Slim, The Booty Bouncers, Basement Jaxx, Frankie Knuckles, Julio Bashmore and Azzido Da Bass to name just a few. Epic does not even come close when it comes to describing just how good this mix sounds. Tune in folks!
Just to ramp up the excitement another notch, the Stanton’s have an brand new album dropping imminently and they’ve said themselves it’s their best work to date, so keep em peeled, just like we will!
