There’s mashups and then there’s mashups by MICK and his good friend Nick Bike! This collaboration has seen the guys cook up an absolute beauty as they expertly lay the acapela of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince’s ‘Summertime’ over the instrumental of The Incredible Bongo Band’s ‘Apache’ to great effect. The fun doesn’t stop there though as the final third of the track makes it a real Jekyll & Hyde one, as the cool funky vibes of the ‘Apache’ instrumental give way to the grittiness of the instrumental of Public Enemy’s ‘Terrordome’.
