That’s Not An Edit Vol.11

That’s Not An Edit‘s self-titled compilation series rolls on to volume 11 and once you start wading through the 25 free tracks of solid gold Funk, Soul, Disco and Hip Hop found on it, you’re gonna feel like Christmas has come early!

As always with a That’s Not An Edit compilation album, the music found is a celebration of the talented producers that reside on the giant rock down under, Australia. You’re also guaranteed to hear the perfect blend of cool downtempo tunes, midtempo burners and uptempo dancefloor rockets too so that all who tune will find their piece of magic they’re looking for.

After taking in the whole album from start to finish during my day job the other day, I can confirm that my listen was a thoroughly enjoyable one. Naturally, because of my taste in music, there were a few tracks that stood out just a touch more than the others. Those tracks include Stephen King‘s stone-cold cool edit of The Pointer Sisters ‘Yes We Can Can’, Decades smokey Hip Hop remix of Pharcyde‘s ‘Passin’ Me By’ feat. Evan Whetter, Timber‘s beautiful Funk edit of ‘You’ve Got To Make Your Choice’ by The Sisters Love, Hober Mallow‘s delightful Nu-Disco twist on ‘Cloudbusting’ by Kate Bush, Sam McNiece‘s brass-toting Disco edit of The Commodores‘ ‘Superman’, Meem‘s soul-soothing Disco edit of Stan Mosley‘s cover version of ‘Ain’t No Stopping Us Now’ and Frankee More‘s groove-driven midtempo edit of ‘Deja Vu’ by Beyonce feat. JAY-Z.

Look out for those beauties and the other top tunes as you make your own way through a very eventful selection of quality sounds.
