The Last Lowdown – Live Mixes – Koma & Bones and Steve Thorpe

So that’s it, the curtains have finally closed on one of Manchester’s finest ever club nights, Lowdown. After 6 years of delivering the ‘best night ever’ show after show, the guys have decided now is the time to shut down operations as they all set out on new adventures. But hey let’s not get too downhearted, their achievements should be celebrated and what better way than with two free mixes that were recorded on the night and what a pair of mixes we have for you!

The first of these mixes comes from the headliner of the night and is a name many Breaks fans will be very pleased to see the sight of, Koma & Bones. Very little has been heard of, Koma & Bones for quite sometime and now two have become one, but just to show what these guys were all about is this mix of pure K&B classics. So much memory jogging will take place through the whole of this mix and the goosebumps are in for a proper workout. Word is that there will be some K&B music to come in the future. Fingers crossed tight for that!

The second mix is from Steve Thorpe, one of the, Lowdown crew and his live mix is equally on par with the first. He chose to roll out some of his very favourite Breaks tracks both new and old. If there wasn’t a tear in, Steve’s eye at the end of the night, it will be because of the emotion put into his set. A very fitting mix from himself for a very poignant night.

From all at LSM, we salute you guys and all you’ve done for the Breaks scene! All the best for your new adventures!
