The Reflex – MJ : Revision History

When it comes to remixing music, there are few out there that have mastered the art quite like The Reflex has. The amount of time he spends on his work and the attention to detail he puts in has seen him get full backing from artists such as Nile Rodgers, Jazzy Jeff, Joey Negro, Greg Wilson, Jazzie B, Nightmares On Wax, Craig Charles, and the list goes on. There’s no doubting that with names like that loving his music, the hard work has most definitely paid off.

With a huge amount of quality music to be found in The Reflex’s back catalogue, we’re gonna share with you his most recent album ‘MJ : Revision History‘, so that his skills can experienced fully and so that you can get your dose of nutritious auditory vitamins. The album is made up of 13 tracks in total which features a large number of revisions (The Reflex’s choice term for remix) of tracks by one of his all time favourite artists in the world ever, Michael Jackson. Taking on such a task must be daunting for anyone but The Reflex has gone about his business the best way he knows and has created some exemplary pieces of music.

From the tracks he’s chosen to his spin on ‘Thriller’ is the most recent, with the remaining revisions being of tracks from the early days of Michael Jackson’s career. This means that there’s a whole lotta Funk and Disco to be found on the album which are sounds that we’re quite partial to hear on the ward. You can find 10 outstanding revisions in total on the album, plus 3 instrumental tracks and the first track on the album, a light and soulful revision of ‘I Wanna Be Where You Are’ is all yours for free. The rest you can only buy but it won’t be to hard parting with your cash once you’ve been blown away by the music you’re about to hear. Enjoy.
