Timewarp inc – Theory of Revolution (Double 12″ Vinyl Album) (Timewarp Music)

‘Theory Of Revolution’ is the fourth full-length album by Greek producer Timewarp Inc and the third album to be released on vinyl on his label Timewarp Music. His shiny double 12″ gatefold release (also available digitally) is packed with 19 tracks that cover a myriad of styles with Dub, Reggae, Funk, Soul, Disco, House and Hip Hop all represented in their finest forms. Just over half of the music, on ‘Theory Of Revolution’ is brand new, while the other portion is made up of older tracks, some of which have been remastered and released on vinyl for the very first time!

Amongst the 10 new tracks on offer, you’ll find vocal-led tracks like the classy, soulful and sunshine-filled pair ‘Realistic’ and ‘I’ll Be Ok’ that both feature the unmistakably smooth vocal of one Georges Perin and to get you dreaming of the summer, even more, there’s the easy-going Reggae sounds provided on ‘Restart’ and this time it’s the vocal skills of the very talented Jammaroots that are on show. You’ll also find instrumental tracks like the oriental flavoured Bboy jam ‘Smoke Miash (Santuri Version)’ that sounds like it should be on the soundtrack of a Quentin Tarantino film, the deep dubwise duo of ‘Dubwarp’ and ‘Tweaky’ that are both perfect Sunday afternoon chillers and the groove-a-licious party persuader ‘Not Bad Disco’, amongst others.

A few of Timewarp Inc’s classic cuts that are sounding as fresh as ever after their revamp and that are appearing on vinyl for the very first time include the Reggae rockin’ title track of the album from 2016 that once again features Georges Perin, his infectious Hip Hop jam from 2014 ‘Economic Boom’ feat. Mage, the Discofunk version of his electrifying ‘Discogirls’ from 2018 and the swinging funky Breaks heater ‘Yuil Disco Breaks’ from 2011.

The variation of styles and tempos and Timwarp Inc’s superb production on the music found on ‘Theory Of Revolution’ makes for a hugely satisfying and enjoyable listen for those who are into the kind of sound he provides and those who just appreciate good music. We love it and we hope you do too.

I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
