Together Boston is a week long event that’s held in Boston (USA) and is made up of three major ingredients, music, art and technology. Across the week, attendees can find lots of things to see and do including art exhibits and installations, Q&A’s with visiting artists, discussion panels, technology demonstrations, a record fair and even a synth petting zoo during the day. When night falls, it’s all about showcasing the finest talent Boston has to offer, as well as welcoming in national and international artists to DJ at numerous parties. As I type, it is the penultimate day of this years event and a scroll through their Facebook page shows that things are going off quite nicely indeed.

To coincide with this years event, Together Boston have released a free 18 track album ‘Together Compilation 2017‘ to help those who can’t attend get a feel for the types of music that will be spun at all the parties. On the album are Boston based producers only and the sounds they’re bringing to the table clearly shows that this particular corner of America is a very musically fertile one, as the album features a melting pot of sounds and styles. Heart melting downtempo, larger than life Disco, fierce Bass House and sublime D n B are just some of the sounds you’ll encounter with plenty more to be found asides. There’s even a DJ mix of the album that has been masterfully put together by, Nick Minieri. It’s a quality album from what looks to be a very dedicated team that are doing their very best to show the world just what they’ve got and hats off to em!
