Toolroom 2020

Its time for the first Toolroom album of 2020,mixed by Martin Ikin and loaded with fresh surefire house music artillery

The leaders of the pack are back! A brand new compilation for 2020 with Martin Ikin in the mix plus the full length unmixed tunes

With 21 tracks and a DJ mix, this latest Toolroom album is ripe for some serious car stereo and DJ booth action featuring tracks like Tuff London’s ‘Dance With Me’, a fresh take on the early noughties Tech House sound with evocative vocals and rubbery Zombie Nation style synths.

David Tort supplies the Tribal House grooves on the heavy, sound system ready ‘This Is My House’, a contrasting blend of deep melody and driving drums. Seige mixes up Disco, Techno and House on the hypnotic groove of ‘Don’t Stop’, Friend Within does twisted, tantalising funky disco house on ‘Lorla’ and Siwell offers a cultured take on the house music sound with the violin like synths of ‘Paragon’

It’s time to bring out the Latin flavoured drums for Sllash & Doppe ‘Back To The House’ and if slick drums and classy production is your bag, Martin Ikin comb excellent production, timeless house signatures and Tech Bass sharpness on ‘I’ll Be’

For dark, techy midnight madness see GW Harrison with the disquieting energy of ‘Okay’ and the bumpy acid/tech house funky frenzy of Sharam Jey & Jean Bacarreza ‘Keep It Real’

No Toolroom album would be complete without something from the bossman, Mark Knight and he paints a fine tapestry of big room vocal house with his own ‘Mona Lisa’

Tag Team collab action is supplied by Maxinne, Frederick & Kusse and Niki Darling with a melodic, terrace packer of a tune ‘To The Music’

You can count on Raumakustik to get the party lit with infectious, heads down grooves which is what the percolating synths and slamming beats of ‘And Get You’ do plenty of!

Clyde P has ‘Something For Your Mind’ and, evidently your feet as demonstrated by the effervescent funk of said tune. Ben Remember shifts gears into stripped back, peak time House with plenty of drum rolls and Tribal sounds on ‘We Work So Good’ and the top of the hour madness continues with the off kilter samples and percussion heavy action of Kinnerman ‘Deep Layer’

And now for something completely different, namely the UK Funky meets House fusion of Mason feat. MC Chickaboo ‘Slide Around’, a fresh combo of Afro rhythm and bubbling acid 303s.

Gene Farris is on hand for some freaky US style House in his signature style on ‘Back In The Day’, tough Tribal House is the blueprint for the on point vibes of Fibi ‘Down’ and Mendo flips a timeless house music formula into the fresh vocal anthem ‘Give It To Me’

The king of chunky House bangers, Gawp is on evergreen form with heavyweight synth stabs and sledgehammer kicks of ‘Gergles’ and Amine Edge & DANCE save the ‘Rave’ with high energy, minimal bounce tech ammo for the club. Toolroom 2020 is available from 31/01/2020, get it in that 🛒
