Tribe – Coke Smoke (Lac’s Edit)

Hober Mallow‘s last few visits to the ward have all come when he’s been featured on the mighty ‘That’s Not An Edit’ compilation albums. In the here and now though and working under his alter-ego Lac, we bring you his edit of Tribe‘s 1973 jam ‘Coke’. As the purists out there will already know, Tribe’s track was, in fact, a two-parter and both of those parts (minus bit and pieces he wasn’t too keen on) can be heard being spliced together with extreme precision to create a funky Disco stomper that’s packing some serious heat and a groove that’s gonna make you wanna move!

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
