Here we go once again with another new name to grace the LSM ward. Carlos Rodriguez a.k.a, Bag-O-Beetz, was born in Spain, grew up in Venezuela and now finds himself living in Canada. Throughout his journey he has soaked up many musical influences which include Latin, Reggae, Calypso, Salsa, Soca, Funk, House, Breaks and D n B, which really shines through in the music he makes and selects when DJing.
It’s Reggae where his focus lies with his superb free 5 track EP ‘For The Love Of Dub‘ which was released to celebrate passing the milestone of passing 2,000 followers on Soundcloud. It opens up with ‘Lets Get Ill‘ which offers plenty for the jump up D n B fan. Up next is the ‘Numa Crew vs Hawkeye‘ and the Jungle vibes are strong in this one, as is the soul shaking bassline which needs to be heard! The last 3 tracks ‘Bun Them‘, ‘Inna Mess‘ and ‘Reggae Vigilante‘ are all of the midtempo variety, so expect fierce bass and lashings of Reggae flavourings spread across all of them. It’s an EP not to be missed!
