Because 808 State’s all-time classic ‘Pacific State’ is nearly 30 years old (I know!), there has been plenty of remixes and reworks of it over the years and one of the best one’s we’ve come across just so happens to be this Breakbeat rework featured here by Circa 92.
With a huge love for the old skool Rave sound ‘Pacific State’ was always top of the list of tracks he wanted to put his personnel touch on and the results of his work are truly epic! The crispest broken beats are coupled with a deep pulsating bassline and the essence of the original which makes for one spectacular ride. Just to add in a bit more old skool flavour, Circa 92 has woven in the vocal from LTJ Bukem’s ‘Horizons’ to great effect. Press play and watch those goosebumps do their thang!
