Up and coming Edinburgh based producer Clarcq may be a relatively new name on the scene, but with music already released on labels such as Southpoint, Surge Recordings and Rendr Records and a handful of classy free downloads to his name, he’s one to keep an eye on in the future, especially if House and UK Garage are the types of sounds you like to get down to.
If it’s UK Garage that happens to be your favourite of the two, Clarcq’s latest track Do It 2 Me is sure to be a track you’ll be playing throughout the summer. Its easy-natured and warming vibe comes into effect from the off with a sweet vocal hook and that familiar crispness of the skipping hi-hat and shuffling drums. After the opening section, we’re led to a small breakdown and then onto the main vocal part of the track which enforces the whole summertime feel of the track. The cool vibe and lush vocal continue and take us to the end but if you’re like me, you will go back for seconds and even thirds after just one listen. Free download if you want it!
